Global Reference Landscape
AIGRAP™ draws on multiple reference sources to connect governance, risk, controls and assurance. ISO/IEC 42001 addresses organizational AI management systems; AIGRAP is intended to certify individual competence.
Global core knowledge: AIGRAP is designed around shared governance, risk, controls, evidence and assurance concepts. International standards and principles, together with reference frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, inform this core; they are not presented as universally mandatory requirements.
Regional applicability: References such as the EU AI Act and SDAIA AI guidance provide jurisdiction-specific context. Candidates should distinguish legal obligations from voluntary guidance and determine applicability by jurisdiction, organizational role and AI use case. A regional reference does not mean its requirements apply to every candidate or organization worldwide.
AIGRAP™ is an independent Polaris professional certification. Reference to these sources does not imply certification, accreditation, approval or endorsement by their publishers or governing organizations.
AIGRAP Competency Model
The certification follows a connected professional chain rather than treating governance, risk, compliance and assurance as separate disciplines.
Assessment
The planned examination is intended to assess knowledge and professional judgment through questions and scenarios, including evaluation of controls and supporting evidence. This format does not demonstrate practical performance through a laboratory or workplace assignment.
